REVIEWS

This is a student documentary presenting the Fish Wharf of Thessaloniki, a prosperous organization located in Nea Michaniona. Financed by the EU, this establishment, which develops with respect to the environment and local community, offers great prospects and promises of growth in a country overcome by financial crisis. What unravels is what we caught in our nets, fishing our stories from workers and fishermen working in the wharf and living in the area. We tried to shed light on the workers’ everyday lives, on the challenges they face, their agonies, views and hopes and the impact on the local society and economy.
