Prosefhi: Greek School Prayer
Neofotistos Thanasis
Greece, 2014
REVIEWS
Dimitris, a junior school student, is terrorized by Vasilis and his gang- a group of bullies. When Dimitris is told that it’s his turn to say the morning prayer at the beginning of the school day, Vasilis haunts his thoughts. But what will happen when the day comes and he has to stand before the whole school and Vasilis in particular? In their search of identity, through violence, they will play with each other’s limits.

In a Few Words:
“I learned how to love Architecture from an early age, and possibly this was the ground for me to grow my interest in directing. I knew the principles of space and lighting, both of these factors are relevant, as they are both subject to rules and market values, they are not that abstract. Set design resulted from the amalgamation of my studies. I am the production designer in all of my films. As a Greek filmmaker, I had to learn a little bit of everything, but now I want to take my distances from this one man show and focus on direction and set design. Expertise is very important, people cannot stand out if they’re just good in many things.”
