Adam Cisowski, named by his colleagues “Devil”, discovers Professor Gąsowski’s question system. An admirable teacher invites Adam for a vacation to his brother’s palace, where no one can explain the theft of an old doors.  Adam is attracted not only by the mystery, but above all the beauty of Wanda, the niece of the professor. Makuszyński’s novel – after the renaissance of realities – became the basis of the adventure-sensational scenario, which preserved the  mood, and the sense of humor of the original.
