2nd European Conference “MEDIA EDUCATION in action”

EUFORIA II 2016-2017, the second edition of the European program EUFORIA (Creative Europe-MEDIA), is officially launched with the 2nd European Conference “MEDIA EDUCATION in action”, which held on Sunday, February 5th, 2017, in TIFF’s Pavlos Zannas theatre.

The conference organized by the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, main administrator of the program EUFORIA, in collaboration with its European partners Społeczna Akademia Nauk (Poland) and Laterna Magica (Hungary). The event inaugurates Film Paths, a multilayered action plan that focuses on the current status of film literacy in the educational systems of Greece, Poland and Hungary, proposing various strategies and approaches.

Therefore, the conference takes place as a transnational forum of discussion on policies and innovative initiatives regarding Media Literacy in Education.
